The premise

A police profiler has just returned from psychiatric leave only to find that he is caught up in a serial killer's rampage. Fighting to keep buried the trauma of his childhood, he must confront the all too-familiar flesh masks that the killer leaves on the faces of his victims. He must face his own demons along with the killer to save his small eroding existence.

Horror Vault's take

A damaged police profiler barely holding himself together after a psychiatric breakdown is thrust back into the field when a serial killer begins leaving grotesque flesh masks at crime scenes. The case cuts unnervingly close to the profiler's own buried past, blurring the line between hunter and hunted. As the body count rises, so does the pressure on a man whose grip on his own sanity may be the most fragile clue of all.
