The premise

Loosely based on the notorious Richard Speck murders, this is the grim tale of a disturbed Vietnam vet returning home via Belfast, who invades a house shared by eight nurses and proceeds to terrorize and murder them.

Horror Vault's take

Inspired by a real-life American atrocity, this unflinching 1976 European exploitation entry transplants its horror to Belfast, where a deeply damaged Vietnam veteran forces his way into a nurses' shared home. What follows is a punishing, claustrophobic ordeal as the women face a killer whose fractured mind makes him utterly unpredictable. Director Gilles Béhat crafts a grimly serious tone that sets it apart from more sensationalist fare, leaning into dread and psychological unease over cheap thrills.
