When Jamie Lowell can no longer reach her grandmother by phone, she travels to track her down — only to find herself drawn into something deeply wrong lurking in and around a rundown apartment complex. The children in the neighborhood are not what they seem, and the presence of corn in this urban setting signals that an ancient, murderous influence has followed her family here. This seventh entry in the long-running franchise transplants the series' signature rural dread into a grimier, more claustrophobic setting.
