A paranoid writer is unable to get started on his second novel. He hires a secretary and then his troubles really begin.

A reclusive novelist retreats to a remote country house hoping to break through a crippling writer's block, but the arrival of a new secretary sends his already fragile mental state into a tailspin. What begins as a strained professional arrangement steadily curdles into something far more dangerous, as hidden agendas and festering obsessions bubble to the surface. This grimy British entry on the infamous Video Nasty list earns its reputation with a volatile mix of psychological unease and brutal violence.
