The premise
Stranded in rural Italy without transportation or language skills, an American couple on the verge of adopting tries to reconnect during a disastrous vacation, as their fears and relationship problems threaten to boil over.

Two American men arrive in rural Italy hoping a getaway will breathe new life into their strained relationship before a major life change, but language barriers and an increasingly hostile local environment conspire against them. What begins as a bumbling comedy of errors slowly curdles into something far more unnerving, as the couple's unresolved fears begin to surface in unexpected ways. The Italian countryside proves to be as indifferent as it is beautiful — and perhaps a little dangerous.
