The premise
Madman Marz, an old folklore legend who murdered his family before escaping into the woods, is inadvertently summoned to a campsite to finish the spree he started decades ago.

Deep in the woods, a group of camp counselors make the mistake of invoking the name of Madman Marz — a hulking killer whose gruesome legend has haunted the surrounding forest for years. What begins as a spooky campfire story quickly becomes a waking nightmare as the counselors find themselves hunted one by one through the darkness. Equal parts backwoods atmosphere and slasher brutality, this early-80s entry delivers the genre goods with a distinctly eerie folk-legend twist.
