Freshly released from prison, a rough-around-the-edges ex-con figures a handyman gig at a rundown house is an easy way to earn honest money — until what lurks inside reveals itself to be something far worse than a fixer-upper. The property has a way of pulling people in and refusing to let go, raising questions about whether its horrors are supernatural, man-made, or something in between. Scout Taylor-Compton and Tyler Mane — both veterans of the Halloween franchise — reunite here in a grimy, claustrophobic thriller that leans hard into dread and dark atmosphere. The real mystery isn't just what's in the house, but what keeps anyone from walking away.
