When a well-meaning mother hires method Pilgrim reenactors to shake her ungrateful family out of their comfortable routines, the Thanksgiving gathering takes a deeply sinister turn. What begins as an eccentric cultural exercise quickly becomes something far more threatening as the costumed visitors refuse to acknowledge that it isn't the 17th century. Trapped with guests who seem to have no interest in playing pretend, the Barker family must reckon with just how dangerous blind devotion to a role can become.
