The premise
Defense attorney Jennifer Garrick acquires a Pinocchio puppet from a condemned serial killer. Her pre-teen daughter, Zoe, mistakes the puppet as a birthday present and grows attached to her new friend. Suddenly, accidents begin to happen to those who cross Zoe. Zoe claims it's her Pinocchio doll but her therapist thinks otherwise. Pinocchio promises he'll behave if Zoe will cut his strings...

When defense attorney Jennifer Garrick brings home a Pinocchio puppet linked to a convicted serial killer, her young daughter Zoe bonds with the wooden figure in ways that quickly turn disturbing. A string of violent accidents targeting people in Zoe's life raises a chilling question the film refuses to answer easily: is the puppet truly alive and murderous, or is something far darker stirring inside the child herself? Rooted in ambiguity, the film toys with the line between supernatural menace and psychological breakdown. It's a slow-burn thriller that leverages the creepiness of classic fairy-tale imagery against a very modern fear.
