The premise
Isaac and his pregnant wife visit a remote Norwegian village to claim an unexpected inheritance. The couple finds themselves caught in a nightmare when they encounter a sinister cult that worships a sea-dwelling deity.

When an American couple travels to a fog-shrouded Norwegian village to settle an unexpected inheritance, they find the locals harbour dark, centuries-old secrets. What begins as an uneasy welcome slowly curdles into something far more sinister, as a fanatical community's devotion to a monstrous aquatic god closes in around them. The remote coastal setting is weaponised to full effect, leaving the protagonists — and the audience — with nowhere to run.
