The premise
In 1993, in Hollywood, California, a decadent ventriloquist overdoses and dies, leaving her two children to be sent to a foster house with their dummy. Their lives become a nightmare of abuse and murder, to be avenged by a wrathful dummy.

When a troubled ventriloquist's death leaves her two young children in the care of the foster system, the only constant in their lives is a sinister dummy with a will — and a temper — all its own. Years of abuse push the siblings to a breaking point, with their wooden companion seemingly more than happy to do the dirty work. Part dark comedy, part slasher, Triloquist leans hard into the twisted bond between the kids and their puppet protector. It's a low-budget oddity that sits somewhere between disturbing and darkly funny.
