In the sun-drenched shadows of Miami, a television newswoman becomes dangerously fixated on a suspect she believes is the city's brutal serial killer — and the threat hits terrifyingly close to home when she realizes he may have set his sights on her defenseless sister. Equal parts procedural thriller and slasher, the film builds a suffocating cat-and-mouse tension as the killer grows bolder and the protagonist's warnings go unheeded. Jennifer Jason Leigh delivers a striking early-career performance as the vulnerable sister, while the film leans into the voyeuristic dread of being watched without knowing it. Fans of early-80s grindhouse slashers will find plenty of nasty atmosphere and genuine suspense here.
