The premise

Aboard a space station orbiting a politically fractured Earth, an international crew pushes a powerful experimental device to its limits in a last-ditch effort to save humanity from an energy catastrophe. When the test goes wrong, the crew finds themselves unmoored from everything familiar — including reality itself. Strange, inexplicable phenomena begin to tear at the boundaries of science, sanity, and trust among the team. The Cloverfield Paradox is a paranoid sci-fi nightmare that asks what happens when the laws of the universe simply stop applying.
