The premise
Four backpackers decide to take a hike in the mountains of Utah. But within the woods lurks a killer. But who...or what...is it? The lazy local sheriff blames bears. Four friends venture into Utah's remote mountain wilderness for a camping trip, unaware that something deadly is hunting among the trees. As bodies begin piling up, local authorities dismiss the threat — leaving the campers dangerously in the dark. Raw and unrelenting, this early-80s backwoods slasher strips horror down to its most primal setting: nowhere to run, no one coming to help.
