The premise
A small group of Americans travel to Ukraine to film a documentary about the cannibalism epidemic that swept through the country during the famine of 1932. After being lured deep into the Ukrainian forest for an interview with one of the last known survivors, they quickly find themselves trapped in a supernatural hunting ground.
Horror Vault's take
When a group of American filmmakers heads to Ukraine to document the haunting legacy of the 1932 Holodomor famine, their quest for the truth behind mass cannibalism takes a terrifying detour. Lured into a remote forest under the pretense of a rare interview, they soon discover that some horrors from that era never truly died. Shot in found-footage style, the film weaves real historical atrocity into a supernatural nightmare where the boundary between the living and the dead collapses. What begins as a documentary becomes a desperate fight to escape something far older and hungrier than any human predator.
